LaneIQ ("the Extension") is a Chrome browser extension designed for freight dispatchers. This Privacy Policy explains how the Extension handles your data.
LaneIQ collects minimal data necessary to provide the service: your license key (for activation), and your email address (provided at checkout via Stripe, used only to deliver your license key).
When you activate LaneIQ, your license key is sent to our backend server (hosted on Railway) and validated against our database (hosted on Neon). Your key and account status are stored in this database. Your license is validated on each page load. If the server is unreachable, your last known license status is used as a fallback.
Payments are processed by Stripe. LaneIQ does not store your credit card information. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment data: stripe.com/privacy.
Your license key is delivered by email via Resend. Your email address is used solely for this purpose and is not shared with third parties.
LaneIQ uses your Gmail account solely to send outbound emails to freight brokers on your behalf. When you click the one-click email button inside the extension, it composes a message from your pre-set template and sends it via the Gmail API. LaneIQ does not read, store, scan, or access your Gmail inbox, messages, contacts, or any other Gmail data. Emails are sent only when you explicitly click the send button — nothing is automated or sent without your direct action.
The Extension reads load information displayed on the DAT load board within your browser tab to perform lane matching. This data is processed in real time and is not stored beyond your active browser session.
The Extension stores your freight history index, license key, and user preferences in your browser's local storage using Chrome's built-in storage API.
The Extension uses the Google Maps API to calculate route distances. Requests are made using your own API key and are subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
The Extension does not use analytics, tracking pixels, cookies, or any form of user behavior monitoring.
The Extension is intended for professional use and is not directed at children under 13.
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
